A bridge, also known as a fixed partial denture, is a restoration used to replace a missing or extracted tooth by joining adjacent teeth.  This is accomplished by crowning the adjacent teeth on either side of the missing space and “bridging” the gap between them with a false tooth that is connected to the crowns and suspended between them. A bridge is cemented on and is a fixed restoration.  It is a great way to restore harmonious function and chewing surface.
