Extractions

Extractions

Sometimes despite all efforts, teeth cannot be saved and then they have to be extracted or removed from the mouth. This does not mean that you have to live without a tooth; there are replacement options available, and these will be discussed with you in detail at your appointment. Some options may involve implants, bridges, or removable appliances. Together we can determine the right option for you.

Partial Dentures

Partial Dentures

Instead of a bridge, another option to replace missing teeth is by using a partial denture. This is a removable option that fits around the remaining teeth to fill in the gaps. Most are made with a metal framework that has pink acrylic containing the teeth. They are held in place by engaging the natural teeth with metal or pink clasps. Some partial dentures can be made without any metal. Which one is right for you will be discussed during your treatment planning appointment with the dentist.

Bridges

Bridges

A bridge, also known as a fixed partial denture, is a restoration used to replace a missing or extracted tooth by joining adjacent teeth.  This is accomplished by crowning the adjacent teeth on either side of the missing space and “bridging” the gap between them with a false tooth that is connected to the crowns and suspended between them. A bridge is cemented on and is a fixed restoration.  It is a great way to restore harmonious function and chewing surface.

Root Canals

Root Canals

Root canals are performed on teeth where the nerve is unhealthy or infected. This usually results from a badly decayed or fractured tooth. Root canal therapy cleans and shapes the canals within the roots of the teeth removing unhealthy and infected debris. After removing the infected debris, material is placed within the canal space. After a tooth receives root canal therapy it will require restorative work which could involve a crown or a filling.

Invisalign/Smart Moves

Invisalign/Smart Moves

Invisalign or Smart Moves is a great way to straighten your teeth while improving your overall dental health. Both methods use invisible aligners to help straighten your teeth without having any metal involved. Treatment usually averages 6-18 months and the average aligner is worn for 2 weeks before switching to a new set. Each case is personalized to fit your goals and needs and can differ from the average. Schedule your appointment today to see if you are a candidate!

Bonding

Bonding

This is an immediate, chair side procedure to reshape, change color and close spaces. This procedure can afford you an immediate change to your smile and give you confidence. You will walk in with fractured teeth or spacing that you wish to address and walk out with a new smile. It is an immediate treatment affording an immediate change to your smile.

Veneers

Veneers

These are the procedure used on today's makeover shows. They are thin pieces of porcelain that are bonded on your teeth to reinforce for strength and also give long-lasting, natural beauty to your smile. They are smile miracles in the way they change your teeth's appearance.

Inlays/Onlays

Inlays/Onlays

Inlays and Onlays are a great option in place of a direct restoration. They have better wear resistance and tend to last longer due to the laboratory controlling the fit. They are fabricated outside the mouth, like a crown, and then are cemented on at a later appointment. They allow for conservation of healthy natural tooth structure while still providing the strength and durability similar to that of a crown. These can also be gold or tooth colored.
