Our Staff

Dr. Scheumann graduated from Indiana University and continues education through multiple courses covering all disciplines of dentistry. He is a member with fellowship standing in the Academy of General Dentistry and American College of Dentists, maintaining these through accredited classes.

Many hours have been spent with nationally recognized speakers relating to cosmetic dentistry, implants, restorative and reconstructive dentistry and many other disciplines of dentistry including oral conscious sedation and medical management of patients. He is a member of the national, state and local dental societies.

Dr. Scheumann is an avid student and committed to staying abreast of recent technologies in dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Society, Indiana Dental Association and Isaac Knapp District Dental Society.

Dr. Scheumann has lived and worked in DeKalb county for more than 30 years and sees patients from all counties in Northeast Indiana, Southern Michigan and Western Ohio.

Autum graduated from International Business College in February 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Office Administration.  She began working for Scheumann Dental Associates in April 2011 as the insurance and website coordinator.  Autum lives in Avilla, IN and enjoys spending her free time with her family, going for walks, and taking care of her three dogs, Chleo, Tut, and Oakley.

Sue graduated from the IPFW Dental Assisting program in 1967.  She has worked for Dr. Scheumann since February 1983.  Sue lives on a farm outside of Harlan with her husband, Larry, and her 2 dogs, Sadie and Davie.  She has five children and seven grandchildren; Kyra, Breanna, Luke, Mackenzie, Caden, Stokes, and Mari.

Alisha Marie Hablawetz was born and raised in Hicksville, OH where she graduated high school.  Shortly after graduating, she pursued her love for teeth at Toledo Dental Assisting School where she earned a Certified Dental Assisting Degree. She began working at Scheumann Dental Associates in the spring of 2011.  Alisha loves to play softball, ride bikes in the summer and go on long walks.  She also enjoys spending time with her family.

Elizabeth "Liz" was born and raised in Missouri.  She later moved with her parents to their native state of Indiana.  She graduated from Garrett High School in 1998.  She then met and married her husband Jon, of Auburn, in 2002.  Her husband proudly works for the American Steel Industry and together they have five children- three girls and two boys.  She started working for Scheumann Dental Associates in October 2011 and very much enjoys working with all of her fellow staff.  In her spare time, Liz likes to spend time with friends, cook, play sports and currently helps out in the children's department at her church.

Amy was born and raised in Indiana.  She attended grade school at Woodburn Lutheran and high school at Woodlan Sr. High.  In 1988, she graduated from IPFW with an Associate’s Degree in Science in Dental Hygiene.  She has been working for Dr. Scheumann since 1994.  Amy and her husband have two children.  Lauren is studying to be a nurse, and Kyle may study engineering.  They are members of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Hicksville, OH where she currently serves on the Parish Council and works with the youth.  She enjoys studying nutrition, exercising, playing games and traveling.

Tammy received her Associate’s Degree in Science in Dental Hygiene from IPFW in 1988.  In 2003, Tammy began working at Scheumann Dental Associates and enjoys making a difference in the smiles of people she meets.  Tammy and her husband, Steve, have been married 19 years and have lived in Auburn since 1996.  They have three children: Tiara, Ashlyn, and Devin.  Steve has worked for DeKalb Central Schools since the spring of 1993 and has served as Principal of James R. Watson Elementary since 2008. Tammy enjoys spending her free time attending her children’s activities, reading, going for long walks, and caring for her dog, Cleo.

Angela and her husband, Cris, relocated to Auburn from North Carolina in 1990.  She graduated from IPFW in 1994 with an Associate’s Degree in Science in Dental Hygiene, and began working for Scheumann Dental Associates in December of that year.  Cris and Angela have 2 adult children.  Laura lives in Fishers, IN and is a college student.  Their son Wil, and his wife, Anna, reside in Greenfield, IN, and will be having the family’s first grandchild in September 2011.  They are members of the Auburn United Methodist Church.  She enjoys reading, biking and learning to play the violin.
